The Elephants
There was always
an elephant in the room.
For Aidan's second birthday, we decided we would stop running from the day and start saying his name.

How They Began
People were so afraid to talk to me because of the “elephant in the room.” Every time I saw an elephant, I thought of A.
For his first birthday, Evan and I literally ran away. I couldn't handle the awkward will-they-or-won't-they's.
For his second, I decided we would.
We would say his name. We would celebrate his life. We would make room for his memory.
And Aidan's Elephants were born.

What Each Elephant Carries
A little elephant.
A big reminder.
The words on the card were chosen for Aidan's nursery. After his death, they were placed on his headstone and then carried with each elephant.
For me, they are a reminder that I can survive every single day. For another family, the elephant can be a tangible reminder that their baby matters and their love does not end here.
The poem on the card is from Winnie-the-Pooh. We show the card here as part of Aidan's story.
How Families Receive Them
Love carried
into the room.
Through Love Lives, every family experiencing a pregnancy or neonatal loss is offered an Aidan's Elephant.
What began with Aidan now reaches families in the moments when they need to know that someone sees their baby, remembers their baby, and understands that their love does not end here.
Know a family who needs one?
You can give an elephant personally.
If you know someone experiencing pregnancy or neonatal loss and would like to personally give them an Aidan's Elephant, we'd love to help.
